Questions You Should be Asking the World Around You
A very good sign. The Vatican has officially recognized the state of Palestine. A peace process that will save lives and reduce suffering. A very courageous stance considering the volatile nature of Israel politics. Four new saints will be canonized by the pope, two of which are Palestinian nuns.
After studying corporate news patterns in Canada and in the US for the last 10 years, the countermeasure against this will be a surge of micro media blitzes that focus on Church sex abuses. This is designed to sway the public’s opinion to the negative, as a form of punishment against the Catholic church for supporting the peace process between Israel and Palestine.
Earlier, Pope Francis also warned:
environmental sinners and the “powerful of the earth” will face the wrath of God if they don’t protect the environment and make sure everyone has enough to eat.
With the coming of the TPP (Trans Pacific Partnership), a new host of problems are on the horizon. At a glance, the TPP appears as a marvelous way to boost GDP for all countries involved. Not to say that there weren’t already avenues for money making through international restrictions, what the TPP actually does is it gives corporations more legal leverage to win court cases against individuals and governments on big issues such as environmental disasters and intellectual property.
That’s the TPP in a nutshell.
The Pope also warned:
“Many powerful people don’t want peace because they live off war,” the Pontiff said as he met with pupils from Rome’s primary schools in the Nervi Audience Hall.
Saudi Arabia bombing Yemen. Kiev bombing East Ukraine. Isis bombing Syria. Israel bombing Palestine. All these at a glance are micro conflicts cast against a backdrop of peace and democracy. But the big picture is a portrait of a world at war.
The world’s goal should not be profit from the sale and recycling of arms. The focus should be on developing diplomatic ties. Diplomacy takes work. War is the easy way out. It is lazy and negligent. Work towards peace.
