Any meal can be delicious as long as you put a little effort into preparation. Here’s what you need to make the coleslaw burger.
Toast 4 slices of bread.
Make 2 thin slices of onion and dice them. Dice a cupful of cabbage in a similar fashion so that they’re all uniform in size and shape. Mix with a tablespoon of mayo to make them stick together. Sprinkle with a bit of pepper.
Take the bread out of the oven. Put the fries in the oven and cook for 15 minutes at 350F
Proceed to cook the burger. You won’t need any oil. Burger patties have a lot of fat that melt into oil as they cook. Cook the burger at medium heat, occasionally turning it over and sprinkling each side with salt. This will let the salt sizzle in with the meat.
While the burger is cooking, add a tablespoon of vinegar to the cabbage/onion mix.
Go back to the burger and slice across the length of it to make two pieces. (Part of the ongoing effort to lose weight.) Cook until the surfaces are browned.
Put a little bit of mayo and ketchup on two of the 4 slices of bread. Spread the cabbage/onion mix on the other two slices of bread. The reason you leave this part ’till the end is to keep the bread from getting soggy.
By this time the fries should be ready. Make sure they’re crispy.
If you do it all this order, you’ll have a full meal ready in less than 20 minutes. Quick, easy, and keeps you busy right? Plus, it’s real fun to cook if you haven’t tried it.
