Questions You Should be Asking the World Around You

The Young Turks vs Infowars. (Updated with Newer Video)

Cenk Uygur vs Alex Jones.

Alright, the last video was taken down by the up-loader, so all we saw was the gray snow.  On top of that, Youtube was being DDoS’ed so we couldn’t figure out if it was a terms of service violation, or some other legal complication.  Anyways, I said that I loved both these guys, but they were on complete opposite ends of the spectrum, and that I couldn’t like one without having problems with the other.  Both their channels have the video, so which one do I link to?

The criteria:  Choose one random video from Infowars, and choose one random video from TYT, and depending on which one pisses me off the least, wins.

Infowars. Alex Jones confronts Charlie Rose. Man vs Legend.  Alex Jones kept his cool, and Charlie Rose answered Alex’s questions without any smugness. Rose was a bit defensive, but overall he acted very normal.

TYT. I picked the Cenk interview with Roland Martin.  I chose it because I liked Roland Martin’s interviews on CNN from a couple years ago.

Cenk asked Roland what his opinions were about the right wing, it quickly turned into trash talk.

Cenk did not act smug, but he did ask loaded questions, he didn’t appear impartial.

Roland Martin brings up valid issues regarding race.  It’s an important issue in the United States, but Roland Martin thinks its a joke, so I take issue with that.

I can’t really support someone who makes jokes about something that should be discussed with absolute seriousness. But a much worse issue is, Roland blames Trump, for a problem that is deeply rooted in American exceptionalism.  (America number 1, therefore everyone else is third-world, too bad you became an American citizen, had ancestors who became American citizens.)

They were trying to rewrite history in a sense by laying the blame solely on Trump.  Plus Roland Martin tries too hard to be a comedian.

So I chose the video that Infowars posted.

Anna Kasparian, a TYT contributor jumps in at about 3:30 and yells “Get off the stage you fat fuck” to Alex Jones.

But isn’t Anna a very vocal critic of fat shaming? It’s NOT OK to criticize people for their weight, but it’s okay when she does it? I’m thinking Kasparian had that word bouncing around in her head, but unleashed it due to frustration. Not cool.

jimmy dorre

Jimmy Dorre spits on Alex Jones.  That’s assault right there.  Potential lawsuit.

Liberal media: violent, volatile, lacking integrity, and cares not for the law. Fuck it’s so embarrassing because I like the liberal media more than I like the conservative media.

Honestly, I can have absolutely no respect for any group that goes by the name “Young Turks”. I have watched their show a few times and do try to enjoy it, but I cannot get past the baggage of hatred and death engendered by the original Young Turk movement.

The original Young Turk movement. I’m curious now. I’m going to do a bit of reading on that. Thanks for the info.

I see it now. A very brutal revolution, and the Armenian genocide.
