Questions You Should be Asking the World Around You
I personally don’t have a problem with people smoking pot, people are free to do whatever they want. But I do recall Barack chastising many individuals for acting “innapropriately.”
The president’s daughter smoking weed, at the tail end of his career tells me, that Malia is getting tired of being held up to a higher standard, than the rest of the kids her age.
Weed, currently in the process of being legalized for recreational use across many states, is first and foremost, bad for people’s health.
It inhibits the brain’s ability to process short term memory, and is the reason why some people can’t remember what they did, while they were high.
It also impairs the body’s motor functionality, making weed smokers slower, and unable to react to rapidly changing conditions.
The body also builds up a resistance to weed, just like any other drug, and therefore it forces the weed user to smoke more and more, in order to achieve the same level of euphoria as before. This is called addiction.
The argument for legalization is always conflated with vehicle related fatalities, or gun violence, as if these things had anything to do with each other. You wouldn’t call a baseball game the Large Hadron Collider, if you weren’t smoking weed.
Lastly, weed is being used as a political tool. Get people hooked on a light drug, make them forget about last night’s scandal by airing “Half Baked” on Network TV, then push an Obama commercial on prime-time two days later. Essentially, what you end up with is a drug addled constituency, willing to vote for anything you want. It’s vile, it’s evil, it’s what the government think tanks conspire, to keep you happy.
