Questions You Should be Asking the World Around You
About a week before this broadcast, CNN’s Ben Wedeman focused only on Libya’s food. Libyan fruits, Libyan nuts and Libyan dates. Wedeman purposely kept himself outside any of the major areas of conflict in Libya, because he didn’t want to get shot.
My guess is that the CNN execs weren’t too pleased, when viewers called in to complain.
I remember this because even I was confused. The CNN anchors stateside would talk trash about Qadaffi non-stop, saying he was so evil, and that Qadaffi was killing millions of civilians. But then Ben Wedeman, the reporter who was actually in Libya, would only report back, giving details about Libyan nuts and Libyan dates.
