Questions You Should be Asking the World Around You
Arguably the most difficult part of the human body to draw. 15 joints, plus the base, and the forearm, it’s a complex machinery.
I’m still conquering my own personal fears of drawing hands, but one thing that I learned to solve this problem is to think of boobs. Strange isn’t it?
I read an old article of an interview with a very popular artist at the time, and the artist said: “visualize the volumes of the muscles in the human body, to know where things should go.” The closest thing that I could think of that felt like the human body, in terms of touch and weight is: silicone implants. Silicone implant fluids were formulated scientifically to simulate the density of boob juice, so to my 18 year old self it just made sense.
This isn’t the best method by any stretch, but it does help out during the planning stages.
Warm welcome! This is more than an exploration. Discovery of new ideas and new ways of being.
