Did You Know That $10 Million a Day is Spent on Israel?

Pay Taxes to Pay Israel!  Good Boy.

A Fortune dot com article from 2016 details the $38 billion military aid package that was given to Israel prior to Obama’s departure. $3.8 billion divided by 365 is $10,410,958.

-The deal will represent the biggest pledge of U.S. military assistance ever made to any country but also includes major concessions granted by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to officials on both sides.

-The deal, known as a memorandum of understanding, or MOU, calls for at least $3.8 billion a year in aid, up from $3.1 billion annually under the current pact, which expires in 2018, officials say. Netanyahu had originally sought upwards of $4.5 billion a year.

-The new package for the first time will incorporate money for Israeli missile defense, which until now has been funded ad hoc by Congress. U.S. lawmakers have in recent years given Israel up to $600 million in annual discretionary funds for this purpose.

-Netanyahu gave ground on several major points. He conceded to a U.S. demand for a gradual phasing-out of the amount of aid money—now 26.3%—that Israel can spend on its own military industries rather than on American products. The provision originated in the 1980s to help Israel build up its defense industry, which is now a major global player.

-Netanyahu also agreed to end Israel ‘s use of 13% of the U.S. money on military fuel purchases, officials said.

Negotiators working behind closed doors had all but completed the new package several weeks ago. But an announcement was quietly put on hold as objections were raised by a key pro- Israel lawmaker, Republican U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham, who had called for a more generous and less restrictive aid package, sources familiar with the matter said.

Israel Spraying Toxins Over Palestinian Crops in Gaza

-Khan Younis, Gaza Strip- On January 7, a low-flying agricultural aircraft sprayed herbicides on to Palestinian farmlands along the eastern border, eradicating or damaging up to 162 hectares of crops and farmland along the Israeli border fence.

-“Herbicides are sprayed in high concentrations. Thus, they remain embedded in the soil, and then find their way to the water basin. This constitutes a real hazard for the population,” said Anwar Abu Assi, manager of the chemical laboratory at the Ministry of Agriculture.

-The sprayed areas belong to Israel’s unilaterally imposed and poorly delineated “buffer” or “no-go zone”.

-With the Strip being merely five kilometres wide in some areas, a few hundred metres prove essential to the Strip’s food security. Over the past few months, Israeli soldiers have killed at least 16 Palestinians who entered the zone, most of them protesters who were shot at by snipers while participating in demonstrations near the fence.

-Furthermore, scores of casualties have been reported among farmers who were merely tending to or approaching their lands. “We had to jeopardise our lives daily growing these crops; now all our efforts are in vain,” said Shahin while examining a new implant of spinach.

-Farmers confirm that the damages of the latest spraying extend beyond the so-called “buffer zone”, as the winds carried the chemicals further inside the Strip. They also fear consequences of such materials may affect their lands in the long run.

-Abu Assi explained that each herbicide or pesticide has a safety period that needs to be observed before attempting to grow new crops. At such high concentrations, he fears the lands are likely to constitute a hazard for a long time.

I knew of this yearly stipend from the US taxpayers. This country was not founded to support any foreign country or foreign interests – and that includes Israel. We need to tell that to the religious right.

Yeah. I don’t see any military advantages to Israel either, assuming that Israel is there to provide a fantasy bulwark against an invasion of the west by Arabs. The only observable results we’ve been getting from continuing to prop Israel up with stilts (and it’s a very wrong and very morbid one) for the past 2 decades, is the culling of arab populations. If that’s the end goal, then it’s pretty sick.

We’re separated by Oceans and we have stringent security protocols in place, with a massive surveillance apparatus adding another layer of security. At the same time, the KSA, and the gulf states are our allies, and Iran hasn’t attacked anybody except for ISIS, and yet we receive yearly PSA’s from Netanyahu that he needs more money because Iran is 99% finished with building nukes.

      It’s so weird.
