Questions You Should be Asking the World Around You
Let’s see. Pope Francis, I haven’t written about Pope Francis in a very long time. Mostly because I’ve been pre-occupied with the elections, the mainstream media, and corruption.
Pope Francis supports refugees. He urges us to show kindness to those who have lost their homes, lost their jobs, their way of life, from the continous ravaging of Syria. A number of other world leaders share his viewpoint. Most notably Germany’s Angela Merkel, Canada’s Justin Trudeau, and the EU’s Donald Tusk, and a few others. That’s a good thing. I agree with Pope Francis that we should take pity on people who are in need. Absolutely. When people are in trouble, we should always try to lend a helping hand.
But that’s a band-aid fix.
When we claim righteousness over refugees, it is an attempt to deify ourselves. That’s not a good thing. This becomes even more of a sticking point, when you root yourself, behind the ideology that brought about the refugee crisis to begin with.
The refugees who legitimately are in need, they suffer the most. Through no actions of their own, their homes were destroyed, their lives were ruined.
They would still have their homes to go back to, if John Mccain had not armed ISIS with US manufactured weapons.
Now we’re stuck with hundreds of thousands of angry refugees, who are fully aware why their homes were obliterated, while we pretend that Obama, and David Cameron had nothing to do with it.
Anyways, we want to solve the refugee problem, but we aren’t willing to call out the individuals responsible for the refugee problem.
