Larry King. One of the best Radio/TV/Internet talk show hosts this era. His was the only show I would watch on CNN, along with Anderson Cooper’s, back in the early 2000’s. He always knew what to say, and no matter how controversial his guests were, he somehow had the ability to make it all work. You couldn’t call him leftwing nor could you call him rightwing, he was simply there asking the questions most important to the issue. That’s how you build trust with your audience, because his audience knew that they were guaranteed the facts just by watching the show.
Larry King was still doing his show at 87. It was called ‘Politicking’ on RT. He brought that signature of trust from the US all the way to Russia, and that really says a lot because the veritas he carried demanded an equally trustworthy platform. People call him a legend. I think he’s a legend.
It would probably be appropriate to feel a bit depressed right now, but I shouldn’t feel depressed really. This world is a cruel place and Larry was lucky enough to escape it. I would love to be in Larry’s shoes right now, but in the interim, I’ll just keep fighting like I always do. Rest in Peace Larry. You were a good person.
